Fried Camembert Recipe
This recipe is super easy and quick and is an impressive addition to a cheese board or on it's own. I served it with some grilled veggies and plain crackers...and ate most of it straight up with a fork!
A month ago, I did a collaboration with a group of bloggers on cheese boards. It was fun for me because I absolutely love cheese and I got so many fantastic ideas from the bloggers I worked with.
After seeing my cheese board on Instagram, Chef Volkan Altinors shared his recipe for fried Brie. Since I only had Camembert, I created this fried Camembert recipe. The crispy exterior and warm oozing cheese is to die for!

TOTAL TIME
10 Minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 round of Camembert or Brie
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
METHOD
Take cheese out of wrapping and pat dry with a paper towel.
Heat oil in a small nonstick pan.
Dip cheese in egg and dredge in breadcrumbs.
I did this step twice. Dip cheese again in egg and dredge again in breadcrumbs.
Gently put into oil and fry for 2-3 minutes. Carefully turn over and fry for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oil and serve immediately.
Tips and Bits
Chef Altinors suggested serving with a cranberry relish.
This will taste good with fresh fruit, especially sliced pears.
